Hrishikash Mukherjee..
I grew up watching Harshi Da’s films. More than in school, in my domestic life, I watched Harshi Da’s movies on the TV channel at home between the age of 30 to 40 and I am still feeling that period.
Those were the days in Vidisha where we lived on rent with my husband and in that house during the rainy season, I watched many classic movies like Nadia Ke Paar along with Harshi Da’s Chupke Chupke, Anupama, Satyakam.
Hrishi da and Gulzar have their own simple style and they have been making heart-touching movies, one of them is Anand. This movie was not a formula film, life was presented in a new way by the pair of Hrishi and Gulzar.
Harshi Da also had a movie named Musafir and his Golmaal film had set the flag.
He made Guddi and Mili with Jaya Bachchan and then made Abhimaan with Amitabh and Jaya, whose music created a new marital life in every home.
He had created beautiful and later colorful lines with Rekha. Rekha was very successful and got stardom, but Harshi da’s complexion was starting to fade from colour. Even if you fail even a little, it is difficult to survive in the Hindi film industry. He made Namak Haraam with Amitabh and Rajesh Khanna which was successful.
People still remember Hrishi Kesh Mukherjee for his comedy Chupke Chupke and Golmaal.
I myself am a big fan of Harshi da and want to make films like him, but at this stage of my age, it would be enough for me if my script gets a chance.
Hrishi Da, you will always be our source of inspiration and your film making style is truly like an institute from which we can always learn.
